The Cyclist and Attorney:

Lenore Shefman is a cyclist herself, both an avid bicycle and motorcycle rider. While not a competitive athlete, she rides both road and moutain bikes with a competitive spirit. Her passion is helping cyclists who have been hurt by driver negligence. She knows what it is like out on the road. Whether peddling her bicycle or riding a motorcycle or scooter, it seems like she is always playing in traffic.

As a cyclist, she knows first-hand, car drivers often do not pay attention to cyclists. Cyclists get doored, the right-of-way gets ignored, cars stop suddenly in bike lanes, or cut cyclists off, roads are not maintained causing bicycle and motorcycle crashes. Thus, Lenore created cyclistlaw.com as an effort to help cyclists who have been injured.

Lenore has done other work including working for the Office of the State Public Defender as a clerk during law school. This work focused on preserving the rights of inmates alive on San Quentin's death row. She feels fortunate to have been able to contribute to several habeas corpus briefs eventually submitted to the United States Supreme Court. She was also able to utilize her background in social work to develop a social history for a client on death row. Other areas of her practice have included acting as outside general counsel to small business throughout the State of California.

Since 2000, Lenore has been practicing in the area of personal injury and has won millions of dollars in awards for her clients.

First Lenore went to work for the insurance companies to learn their evil ways. Then she went to work for Paul Engler, an amazing plaintiff's attorney who won amazing amounts of money for his clients. He is a meticulous man, and before retiring, he drove judges crazy over necessary commas in jury instructions prior to trial. His meticulousness paid off and now, the world has Lenore. She is tough as nails, and ready to shred any car driver who negligently drives over or in the path of we who are cycling to our destinations. Driver negligence is the cause of serious injury and death amongst many cyclists. Auto, truck, and other motorists need to know, it is time to share the road!
